Birthday Blogging No. 1 - Dalton Pottery

For the first part of my birthday celebrations, we had a family party at the Local pottery and Art Cafe.

The pottery owner made me a very chocolatey birthday cake.

We all painted a piece of pottery which was quickly fired so we could take them home.

We also did a bit of 'spin art' involving spraying paint at a rotating canvas - lots of mess and fun. This is mine.

Hay

We got a few days of dry weather at the end of last week and it was just enough to make the hay.


We baled up on Saturday and it rained Saturday night, these pictures were taken on Sunday, it had dried up a bit and Brian moved all the bales up to the top field. They will have to sit out for a while to prevent any spontaneous combustion. It has been raining pretty much every day since.
