We have had snow and frost for over two weeks now, as you can see from the thermometer on the cartshed door, it is very cold, and that was taken at 1.30pm! We noticed yesterday that they were skating on the loch at Lochmaben, so went up today to take some pictures as it's back to work tomorrow.
There had even been some curling at the edge of the loch, but they had finished by the time we got there.
There are some very good skaters in this area, because of the ice-rink at Lockerbie.
..and some who are less accomplished! You can see how far out they could skate, it really is frozen right across.
