
A lot has happened with the drains over the last week. I took the first pictures last weekend. This one shows where the topsoil has been removed by the big yellow digger ready for the trench to be dug for the pipes.

This is where the drain will end and flow out into the ditch on the other side of the fence, you will see the new drain coming out here in a later photograph.

Brian took these pictures when he came home at lunch time to talk to the contractor on Thursday.

He is digging out the place where the manhole will be placed as the drain runs under the road.

Here is the pipe coming out into the hole dug in the photo above.

Sorry if this pic makes you feel seasick, I didn't take it, it shows the manhole and concrete mix.

Took this one today, that is the manhole in situ now and quite deep into the ground.

You can see it better from the field side.

And he is what all the work is designed to achieve - water flowing from the new pipe into the ditch. It is certainly running well which is good as we have had a lot of rain this week.
